Tess graduated with a first class degree in Anthropology from the University of Oxford, specialising in the evolution of human cognition and the sense of self. She has a foundation degree in Art Therapy and works with children with learning disabilities. Tess is now a fine artist and freelance set designer.
Martha co-founded the AXNS Collective in November 2011 to produce project about neuroscience and art in Oxford in March 2013. The project ‘Affecting Perception’ consists of an art exhibition displaying the work of artists with neurological conditions and a series of outreach events consisting of community seminars and school workshops. Martha was responsible for the overall production and co-ordination of the project and for the delivery and design of the outreach and community events. She graduated from University of Exeter in Drama, particularly focussing on applied theatre towards the end of her degree. Martha currently works as a Business Development Manager at London South Bank University and is responsible for effective development of new commercial income generating activities particularly managing the Knowledge Transfer Partnership portfolio. She is also undertaking a part-time MA at Queen Mary, University of London in Community Organising.
